Chase of a Quadra for a Dasa

"Have u started machi????....."This is how i shouted at Aravind as the clock struck 10.

Oh by the by, i have to introduce you to my friends before i can proceed any further. Aravindh,Balaji,Renganathan,Vignesh and Myself (Hemanth) are 5 idiots who studied in the same college for 4 years sitting in the same bench. Ate together, slept together, studied together,played together etc etc....Oh no....Control + Z....Cause, the above statement has to be deleted cause we did not do those ;). Myself and Aravindh were close to each other as we studied together right from our first semester in our college. For all univ exams we prepared together even before the doom's day (thats how we call our examination day ;) ). Balaji and Renga are close to each other as they had complementing mindsets, right from their thought that combined studies won't help till their aim to pursue their MBA. and vignesh was little close to the rest, ha ha but don't ask who i call as rest.....No one....cause he is the left alone guy. but wait can i tell it that way?. i cannot for sure....he recently proved that he is not left alone by marrying himself to a gal.....ha ha again the worst way one can portray his friend's marriage....sorries to Vicky....oops....My mobile operator is charging me too much as i am having Aravindh in my call and have now really crossed the boundaries toooooooo much out of context......

Back to square one, Aravindh is quiet confident, that its enough to start by 10:45 to reach Mayajaal which very near to Sholinganalur but the problem is, Sholinganalur is very far from our place. After much of struggle managed to pack up Aravindh from his place by 9:45.....But as always, Calm Aravindh screwed innocent Renga(mind u, he is not that innocent) by asking him to come to our pick up point (Sangeetha bhavan Koyambedu)rather than picking him directly from his house.

Ahhhh....now ball in my court, i have to keep up my words by reaching our meeting point(sangeetha bavan) at least before the walkmanthon guy (Renga) reaches there. Go speed racer Go. This is the theme music behind screens when i drive my bike.....As always i reached our meeting point well ahead of time before the other lazy bums reached there (Balaji et al., please kindly bare with me for lying, for Heaven Sake, this is my blog and i cannot screw myself.).

After a very long wait of 5 minutes, Aravindh and Renga reached the spot. Come on man, don't think that way, waiting for viewing Dasa makes your time costly. so 5 minutes is equal to sitting in college for 4 years right now :). On the way i had to waste some more time in the Indian Oil petrol station where the Credit Card Swipe machi never works. Spending the hot cash that i had on hand (200Rs is a lump sum amount if u r working in an Indian IT company dear), I finally reached Balaji's house.

But u know what????....Balaji has his own way of screwing things by not having cash for himself and petrol for his bike. So once again wasted some more time which has by now become a routine in our tonight's adventure.

After a big struggle we reached Madhya Kailash (Did u think that we reached Mayajaal when i said "we reached at last"), might be thats a misnomer. From Madhya kailash Renga was too courteous to accept the fact that he did not know the route by telling Aravindh "Machan if u don't know the route please ask Balaji/Hemanth now itself ;)".

Go speed racer Go again, but this time its not me, but Aravindh....our machan shot up to great speeds of 40KMPH which made me and Balaji strongly believe that we are going to continue our trend of seeing the film by missing the first 20 minutes. (Nerverthless to say, Myself and Balaji have now a days started watching more films with our office colleagues but always go late to the show).

After a long race between me and Balaji, (mind u we both are in the same bike, ha ha cause Aravindh is no where in the race as of now ), we reached the toll gate. Now its time to search for the theater. You are right, its in Chennai, but where the hell from the toll gate????......so Balaji started searching for Aravindh while i started recollecting the route to Mayajaal....Luckily or to our surprise, i was the only guy who has ever visited Mayajaal in our crew of 4 who have lived in Chennai for a short period of a decade or even more.

Ah there came the most awaited pulsar without Renga and Aravindh cause it was not them but some stranger riding a pulsar.....We have lost patience and have reached a stage where we have decided to ask a cyclist passing that way if he had seen a blue pulsar walking along the toll gate lane...."Machan where r u guys da????...."this is how i fired renga in his cell this time.... (For some reason, this is the punch dialogue that i am uttering every now and then just to get a response that, "Nearing the place machi".....where as in reality they will be speeding towards the signal which is already in red)

Alas, we somehow reached Mayajaal....Sparkling faces entered the gates of Mayajaal....but to our dismay we just had 10 more minutes for not missing the first scene.....We were actually praying that nothing else stops us now from seeing the first 2 minutes of the movie for which we have spent 100 Rs till now (Oscar Ravi might have spent 2 crores for that, thats an unwanted statement irrelevant to the current situation, right???? )....

As we marched towards the ticket counter, (or ran should i say?.), (This time we excludes Speed Racer Aravindh who is busy talking to someone too interesting at midnight).
The big queue in front of the all alone single counter for the whole big multiplex made us angry......As always we are too brave within ourselves but not to the outside world...very silently and politely we asked the guy sitting in the counter for our tickets and snacks coupons.....but just before us stood a big idiot (really a bigger one compared to us in terms of idioticity)......he has booked 2 tickets but the idiot box in front of this idiot is not reflecting that it seems....ahhhhh shit...our luck has been struck this time too...its already 5 minutes since the film has started......clock did not strike 11:35 cause clocks strike only at full hours but we were about to strike the guy in the counter before which he threw 4 tickets to us.....we ran as fast as we could to just get ourselves caught at the entrance of the multiplex.....the 4 tickets that the idiot there threw were snacks coupons and not movie tickets....before we could start our fight again, the security let us in......

and now its 10 minutes since the film started......but this time the film is running inside our great minds but not the theater cause the screening of the 11:30 show is postponed to 12:00......so what next?. we need rest....don't we....but we actually needed rest rooms.....our team lead racer Aravindh was too happy that we did not miss the show....

So the actual blog about the dasa film is yet to start.......since the film screening is delayed, let me postpone the blog for that by at least a day.....
