"Vaapa thambi.....eppadi irruka?...." this is how my grand ma welcomed Aravindh as he came into our house.....(In short, i was in my Grandma's house for a few months as my dad and mom were in US with my sis....."ah...nalla irrukingala aunty"....this is how my friend Aravindh greeted my patti......As the conversation went on, Aravindh was offered a list of so many things which include milk, juice, dosas, etc etc which were all rejected by him...."Hemanth, un friend vandhurukan da...." asi woke up on hearing these words, i rushed to wash my face and came to the hall to recieve Aravindh.......soon we both were inside my bedroom talking about some personal things.....(secrets:))......As time passed by Aravindh started copying all notes from my books into his books......(Even now i could not think of that comedy, i seldomly scribble something in my classes and there is one guy who wants to copy that too:))....it was 6 in the eve and ARavindh has already bid good bye to me as he had to go all the way back to Velachery.....
This was our first meet offcially related to studies.....Then after this became a regular event for us.....Calls, meets, hangouts etc etc......(Hang outs mean going to college together and coming back together ha ha ).....Soon we became bus mates too as we started travelling in the same bus....
"Machan indha bus la varadhuku walking la ponna kuda we will get less wet...."......as i made this comment, i just managed to sneak out through our bus window to enjoy the rain outside while the rest in my bus where busy studying for their cycle test....It was raining really hard (as if its not Chennai) and our blue coloured plane was leaking all over except for a few places where there were no seats.....Some even managed to open up their umbrellas inside the bus. As the bus entered the puzhal lake area, i could notice something strange happening.....There was nothing that one could see through this glass in front of our bus driver......It was raining that heavily....Outside half of the vehicles stopped while the rest where going slowly.....but our Driver could alone manage to go steadily without even a single twist......I could not control my eagerness to know how this guy drove in this rain.....All of a sudden when for some weird reason the whole bus became silent, we could hear one loud voice alone shouting "Thatha left ponga...konjam rigt valainga....aaannn appadi dan....ippa straight...." then did we all realize that its time to pray again....but this time its not for our cycle tests (which i really did not matter at all:)) but for a different issue.....With all these accurate instructions from our GPS Conductor, the driver thatha was managing to steadily drive without seeing anything through his wind shield......oopppphhhh....So this is the technique behind this fast and steady driving......(Not sure if this was the inspiring incident behind our team's speed racer:)).......
"Last 5 minutes....."......As these words echoed inside my brain, i woke up to know that i have analyzed (or better say dreamt) a lot on the morning rain incidents while i was thinking of a 12 marks question......So with full confidence that i can do nothing much about this 12 marks in 5 minutes, i daringly gave back my papers to the examiner......As i walked out of the exam hall, i could find one guy drawing margins and borders for his papers (rather say book).....I would tell in front of even the Anna university Exam board that they can never find one guy in the whole of 256 engineering colleges who can finish any Anna university question paper within the given 3 hours time and draw lines for his papers......all thse but for Aravindh no one will or can even dream of doing...(Don't ask me why i cannot dream of this if i can dream of morning bus incidents :))......
"Machan oru manum theriyala da....." This is not the first time Aravindh said this to me....Its almost a statement which he will tell for sure after any exam he writes......though he will know for himself that the validy of this statement will only be 2 weeks (Answer papers come within 2 weeks:))......"Free ya vidu da......Enakum onum theriyala", as i said these, we walked towards our canteen for lunch....While i was gulping down the sambhar rice and talking to Aravindh, I could notice a fruit standing and talking to some one.....(Probably that would have been the only time we both would have met Balaji before we came to know about him in our second year.....)...."Ippadi yum irrukangala da pasanga ....as i told this to myself we both walked back to our classes......As usual i started my favorite activity after lunch - Sleeping....for that reason i somehow developed a good Rapport with Manivanan.......He used to give good support in all such college related activities......Even if Ajith had acted in Dasavatharam, Aravindh would not have stopped taking notes in the first class after lunch.....That much of sincerity one can find in him......
"The reason for mass being more in this chemical....."as my chemistry professor uttered these words, Manivanna was taking notes on the right side page of a note whose left side page was getting populated by my notes.....So thick friends are we????.....i am lazy enough to carry notes back home and Mani is lazy enough to bring notes from the college hostel which is really far from our class (100 m)...So we used to keep one note in our desk always and share that for taking notes (we used to write different forms of ABCD in that, that's it)......
The most sincere back bencher who i would say is Rajeev....(Guys don't think of Aravindh now....he was a first bencher sitting in back bench, any thing that barks cannot be called a dog:)).....Even while he sleeps, Rajeev scribbles something in his notes, and even changes new papers in the same process....myself and manivanna used to admire this a lot as we learnt a lot from him....."dai enda ippadi thungaringa, konja mavadhu notes edunga da...." who in that back bench world can give this advice except our speed racer????......."Thambi nee ezhudhu, enna vitudu" sleeping continued as we gave this short reply to Aravindh.....undisturbed by this, Aravindh continued on and on.....
For my whole of first year i could not complete even one note book....Remember even in that actually only the left sides were mine....which means not even half of a note book i could complete whereas Aravindh bought new notes for his second Sem.......
Lets see how much he writes in his new books as we come back on our next post :)
